Following the work of Dr Leyendo Zeyuss, this album presents soundscapes derived from nanophonic, or, to use a less accurate but perhaps a sexier term, "psionic" mapping techniques. With our equipment we were able to extract these sonic records of earlier ambient states of excitation much as Dr Zeyuss was able to in Mayan temples in the Yucatan. The first five tracks were derived from simple objects found around the laboratory, a dead bat, a live caterpillar, a potato, a handful of drywall screws and a glass of water. As well, for this CD release we asked some local DJ's and sound collage artists to provide a series of remixes, coordinated here by P. Dowdy and DJ O-Rock. Presented at the 609 Sylva Science Fair in 2003.
